Responsibilities:
• Carry out or assist with various general mechanical tasks.
• Repair all assigned equipment components and systems with minimal supervision.
• Work on fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tuning, and general maintenance.
Qualifications:
• At least three years of practical diesel experience or completion of vocational diesel training.
• Possession of necessary tools to perform the job.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• CDL preferred, especially if the role includes mobile technician duties.
Working Conditions:
The environment described below represents the typical conditions in which the job’s essential functions are carried out. These conditions may include working near moving vehicles, exposure to fumes, solvents, grease, and oil, as well as occasional work in bad weather.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined below are typical for successfully performing the essential duties of this position. These include walking, standing, climbing, heavy lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching. Employees will frequently lift and carry parts and equipment.
While on duty, employees must be able to communicate clearly, listen effectively, and use necessary equipment to perform job functions. Manual dexterity is required. The use of company-provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to all safety protocols are mandatory.
Ability to lift between 15-75 lbs.
