As a dealer representing Kubota and many other high-quality equipment brands, we are looking for a motivated Sales Territory Manager to manage an assigned geographic region. This role focuses on driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, servicing existing accounts, and building strong customer relationships through regular in-person visits and proactive outreach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow sales of Kubota tractors, turf equipment, track skid steer loaders, excavators, and the complete Kubota product line—as well as related outdoor equipment brands—within an assigned territory.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, referrals, networking, and lead generation.
- Conduct regular in-person and virtual meetings with both new and existing customers to assess their needs and recommend appropriate product solutions.
- Demonstrate and promote product features and benefits with a focus on durability, application, and performance.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions in alignment with company policies.
- Accurately process orders and provide timely follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline status using a CRM system.
- Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Provide post-sale support to ensure long-term customer satisfaction and account retention.
- Represent the company at trade shows, customer events, and industry functions as a brand ambassador.
- Monitor competitive activity and report market trends to management.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including customer service, warehouse, and logistics, to ensure smooth fulfillment and delivery.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in business, sales, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior sales experience—especially in tools, hardware, or construction-related industries—is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both in-person and over the phone.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a territory-based role.
- Team-oriented with a strong focus on customer service and professionalism.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent travel within the territory, including site visits, product demonstrations, and event attendance.
- Ability to stand, sit, walk, and operate a vehicle for extended periods.
- Regular lifting and handling of product samples or tools weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Effective verbal communication is essential for presentations, phone calls, and customer meetings.
Work Environment:
- A mix of office work, remote work, and field-based travel.
- Work conditions may vary depending on the environment at customer sites, including outdoor or construction settings.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
